Haiti! – + Sold Her Grammy Dress To Raise Money For Haiti.

You can hear her around 1;30

Teen sensation Miley Cyrus is stepping up her efforts to help victims of the Haiti earthquake – she’s raising money by selling the dress she wore to Sunday night’s, January 31 Grammy Awards. The 17 year old stepped out on the red carpet in Los Angeles wearing a teal-colored gown by Herve Leger.

And she’s decided to put her fashion-forward frock on internet auction site eBay.com to raise money for charity efforts in Haiti, which was devastated by a massive tremor in January. Cyrus admits she is desperate to help in any way she can – because she has been deeply affected by the troubling scenes in the Caribbean country.

She tells USA Today, “I’m going to auction it (the dress) off on eBay for the Red Cross. It’s the little things you can do. I think it’s really important that everybody come (sic) together because disaster relief isn’t just now. It’s how we’re going to help years from now.”

“We have to restore an entire place. It just can’t be one person, one foundation, one group of people. All people have to come together.” Cyrus is also joining Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie to record a new version of “We Are The World” to benefit charity efforts in Haiti.

Mileys New Charity!

Miley Cyrus has a big heart and is supporting a new charity, To Write Love On Her Arms.

TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

The charity is one of the 99 organizations hoping to win a $1 million grant from Chase Community Giving Contest and partnering with Kristin Brooks Hope Center to launch IMAlive, a live online crisis network.

IMAlive will provide real-time online crisis support to millions of people and will be the first 100 percent certified and trained staff and volunteer crisis line. Users will be able to talk one on one to responders through IMAlive’s instant messaging program.
